Ben Bernanke's historic press conference

For the first time EVER, Ben Bernanke will answer to questions directly after the latest release of the FOMC statement (at 8.15 p.m. CET). He will begin what Jean-Claude Trichet has been doing for years. It should provide more information to the public and therefore to the markets, and reduce the secrecy which surrounds the Fed. However, it will be interesting to see if Bernanke can handle it as well as Trichet does (he knows his job for sure) and if he can avoid to make waves in stocks and the foreign exchange.
